Does your dog know the basics but seem to forget them when it really matters, like out on walks or around distractions?
We build on the exercises you’ve already taught your dog and apply them to real life situations as well as introducing the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Exercises and a few fun tricks.
The junior course helps transform those tricky moments into proud ones, whether it’s walking calmly through a doorway, leaving tempting food, or staying settled while you relax with a coffee.
What you and your dog will achieve:
- Calmer walks – enjoy walking your dog without the constant pulling, with a loose lead that makes strolls more relaxed for you both.
- Reliable recall – build confidence that your dog will come back, even when something tempting is on the ground.
- Everyday self-control – from waiting politely while you tie your shoelace, to walking calmly through doors, to settling while you enjoy a coffee at a dog-friendly café.
- Polite hellos – teach your dog how to greet people without jumping up, making social encounters stress-free.
- Focus games – strengthen your dog’s attention with fun exercises like Follow Me and Hand Target, building connection and teamwork.
- Essential life skills – practise stays, “leave it”, and all three key positions (sit, down, stand) so your dog listens in different situations.
- Health and handling confidence – help your dog stand calmly while being checked over, making vet and grooming visits easier.
- Introduction to Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Exercises – real life exercises building a calm and reliable companion.
Perfect for puppies under 20 weeks at the start of the course, this is the ideal way to give them the best start in life and build skills you’ll both rely on for years to come.
